Guts
TW : Gore, Eating disorder
I spent years hating my guts
A child soldier, I died for four years
Caught in a visceral war
Forever full, never satiated
Bloodshed every morning without fail
Self hatred is a woman’s growing pain
Punch the beast in its belly
Be ready for the next assault
At night comes the siege
Cinched
Guts tied in knots at the waist
Be ready for the next beauty conflict
A veteran, my belly remembers
She never fails to remind me
Sometimes I can’t look her in the eye
As she screams and pulls to get free
Its my nature to spill my guts
Inside.s
Outside Down
Crushed on the ground for all to hear
